Police... well what a friendly bunch, very helpful and will answer any questions asked in fact throughout all the airports we have visited we can safely say these are the most helpful we have experienced. The airport seemed to be very clean, seating was plentiful and had a number of charging points.
The airport is on the small side for an international airport but has terminals 1 and 2.
The main terminal (1) does have a fairly good seating area, it has clean toilets, plenty of recycling bins and lots of places to eat and drink and good shops to browse. It has a good information point, plenty of flight screens for arrivals and departures.
The thing with terminal one which makes things slightly confusing is that the checkin areas are spread over two floors, note if you are flying TAP you will be using the ground floor, other airlines use the upper floor - signage can be a little confusing
Terminal 2 which is mainly used by low-cost airlines for departures seems to be lacking the same facilities as the main terminal which is a shame.
This terminal can get very very busy so please be aware.
There is only a limited number of shops and facilities, in general, are not the same so don't be surprised to find long queues.
On a slightly positive note, the gates are very close to security so not far to walk.

Booked for the first time for a transfer from Tenerife Airport to our apartment
Our driver was waiting for us once we had collected our luggage.
We were taken straight to our taxi which was a small mini bus very clean & tidy & dropped off outside our apartment.
As instructed I contacted them the day before our return journey & asked if they could pick us up at a different entrance to our apartment & they actually sent a picture to check the exact location.
On the pick up day the taxi was already waiting for us .
I would definitely use Cheap Taxis again excellent service.
I’ve recently returned from a few nights away in Fuerteventura and used Cheap Taxis for our transfer from the airport to El Cotillo. Both the journey there and back were excellent. A large mini bus for the 4 of us and very friendly and careful drivers on both trips. I’d emailed before and while away to check everything was OK and it couldn’t have gone smoother. On our return journey, leaving at 7am, the driver was there ready at 6.45am so plenty of time to load up and get to the airport.

This is the first time using Cheap Taxis and it won’t be the last. From our first enquiry about the service with Paul we felt confident booking.
The driver was waiting for us as we came out of baggage reclaim, he took us to the mini bus which was clean and comfortable. On the return journey we asked to change our pick up time and this was done straight away for us, the driver was spot on time for pick up. They even followed this up when we got home checking everything went well with our pick up.
Our Lisbon airport transfers can be paid by card payment or cash to the driver.
There are no extra charges for card payments.
We prefer full payment on arrival as this will also guarantee your return transfer back to Lisbon airport, it is 100% safe to do as our drivers expect no payment for the return leg of your holiday.
