Important: Zermatt is car-free
Zermatt is a car-free village, and most private vehicles must finish their journey in Täsch. However, our local transfer partner has cantonal authorisation to continue beyond Täsch and drive to the Urania car park at the entrance to Zermatt.
This means you do not normally need to leave the vehicle in Täsch or take the 12-minute train journey with your luggage and ski equipment.
At the Urania car park, your hotel’s electric shuttle or a local electric taxi can take you to your accommodation inside Zermatt. We recommend arranging this final collection with your hotel before travelling.
If you would prefer to take the train, your driver can drop you at Täsch railway station instead. The train journey to Zermatt takes approximately 12 minutes and covers around 6 km. Train tickets are not included in your transfer price.
