Looking to book your next ski trip?
Every year, thousands of skiers fly into Grenoble Airport before heading off to the slopes.
If you’re currently planning your next ski trip then here’s some great information that will help with your Grenoble airport transfers.
The airport is based at the foot of the French Alps, Aéroport de Grenoble is 45km away from the city centre so not that close but accessible. Its closest neighbour is Lyon, the third-largest city in France.
Grenoble Airport Code is GNB, you may see this code on your flight tickets. Its also known as Alpes–Isère or Grenoble Isère Airport so look out for that too.
So why Choose cheap-taxis.com for your Grenoble Ski Transfer and why get a private transfer from Grenoble Airport?
Well, we offer a door to door private service just for your party which means you reach your destination in quick time.
It also offers you peace of mind knowing your driver will be waiting for you with your name on a board.
Its much cheaper than getting a taxi, you can save midweek and Sundays were normal taxis wont offer discounts.
Simple to book, we can cater for all ages in your party and offer FREE of charge child seats and booster seats but also remember ski equipment travel free!
We only offer private door to door transfers only from Grenoble airport – cheap, but first class - so don’t take the shuttle bus – why?
Because you could be stuck travelling up to 5 or 7 chalets before you reach yours!
In fact, this could add an hour to your journey 🙁
With cheap-taxis.com we take you directly to your hotel or chalet – no stops – direct – no hassle 🙂
Skis, Snowboards = with our Grenoble transfer service we offer the option to add ski equipment FREE OF CHARGE! 🙂
Alternative transport.
While our private Grenoble transfers are recommended, Grenoble Airport also has a good public transport option but if its speed and convenience your looking for then this option may not be for you but more details below!
Grenoble Bus Station, the city centre is 45km away from the airport and can take up to 45min to an hour to get there, the service is a shuttle service operated by Actibus.
Grenoble Train Station, again you will need to travel to the city by bus using Acibus shuttle service. The train service can travel to a limited number of ski resorts so please check the timetables and destinations.
Grenoble airport taxi rank, there is a taxi rank at the airport which can at times get busy so again it is always better pre-booking your Grenoble ski transfer.

Ok Grenoble airport is not the best in the world but there are things you might want to know and be prepared for..
When arriving into Grenoble and before you exit the aircraft, just think on how many passengers have left before you, reason being you might think twice and use the onboard toilet as you could be queuing a long time to pass through immigration, another top tip is keep your hat and gloves handy as the queues could extend outside.
Check the baggage reclaim screens for your carousel but also watch others as sometimes baggage can suddenly appear on a different belt altogether!
When the time comes to travel home from Grenoble, remember the airport is only small, it can sometimes be as hectic as the underground so be prepared and expect long queues and possibly delays - one thing to note is give yourself plenty of time for your transfer to arrive well within the 2hr checkin time, in fact make it 3 hour to be sure.
It can take up to 40 mins to reach the checkin desk, another 30-40mins to go through security, when you have passed all this you will probably enter a crowded departure lounge with limited facilities, shops and bars.
Preparation here is the key

Tremendous
Inbound flight was delayed, so we’d landed after midnight
Driver met where arranged, after baggage claim, with a nice clear sign on their iPad
Helped us with the luggage, and spoke away to our shattered 2yr old
Driver chatted away, dealt with local diversions, and made sure we were in the Airbnb before even asking for the pre-arranged fare.
Excellent, clean, modern and spacious vehicle. Came with car seat, as requested too.
5 stars is more than deserved!
We are confident you will be 100% satisfied with our transfer services
