The airport is a great place to arrive on a ski adventure, it's located just 20km from the city of Lyon and a great location to stay in the summer months.
The airport has three terminals within an easy walk of each other.
It’s a fantastic design with outstanding architecture, light and very airy.
There are plenty of charging stations for your smartphones or laptops both land-side and through into the departure lounges.
Disappointingly there are no water fountains within the airport; you can only purchase water at the retail outlets.
There are good seating facilities here at Lyon airport, we were quite impressed.
The airport seemed clean and well organised.
We did notice once through to the departure gates there only seemed to be vending machines if you wanted something to eat so our tip would be to purchase something in the departure lounge beforehand.
Arriving into LYS was a nice experience, quickly through passport control and the baggage reclaim was quick

Booked for the first time for a transfer from Tenerife Airport to our apartment
Our driver was waiting for us once we had collected our luggage.
We were taken straight to our taxi which was a small mini bus very clean & tidy & dropped off outside our apartment.
As instructed I contacted them the day before our return journey & asked if they could pick us up at a different entrance to our apartment & they actually sent a picture to check the exact location.
On the pick up day the taxi was already waiting for us .
I would definitely use Cheap Taxis again excellent service.
I’ve recently returned from a few nights away in Fuerteventura and used Cheap Taxis for our transfer from the airport to El Cotillo. Both the journey there and back were excellent. A large mini bus for the 4 of us and very friendly and careful drivers on both trips. I’d emailed before and while away to check everything was OK and it couldn’t have gone smoother. On our return journey, leaving at 7am, the driver was there ready at 6.45am so plenty of time to load up and get to the airport.
Highly recommend using this company and will certainly book up again on my next visit. Thank you.

Never used this service before, always, went on the coach transport. 😒but my son had used this taxi service. And told me they were very good. I will definitely be not going on the coach transport again. Will all ways go with this taxi company. Very helpful and professional.

This is the first time using Cheap Taxis and it won’t be the last. From our first enquiry about the service with Paul we felt confident booking.
The driver was waiting for us as we came out of baggage reclaim, he took us to the mini bus which was clean and comfortable. On the return journey we asked to change our pick up time and this was done straight away for us, the driver was spot on time for pick up. They even followed this up when we got home checking everything went well with our pick up.
