We're back from a week in Majorca

We are just back from a week in Majorca (24.8.24) and booked cheap taxis based on the recommendations. The service and communications were excellent. We were an hour delayed coming in, but still there waiting for us. Our resort was an hour away from the airport and pleased we booked the taxi as the 'bus transfer' would have took far longer! Plus cost of the taxi - which was clean and comfortable was only about £15 euros more than the bus transfer cost (worth every penny) particularly as our return was 4.00am on a Saturday morning and the mini bus taxi was there on time. Totally 'hassle free, affordable and efficient service and would recommend to all.

Absolutely fantastic experience

I can not speak more highly of this service! I had an unusual situation and the team, Paul, was a hero, a superstar. I ended up boarding my flight alone (taxi booked for 3) I was taken to my hotel by a lovely driver, and after 2 days (I was supposed to be away for 7) I needed to head back to the UK. As my trip was a prepaid return I asked if I could move the collection day- no problem at all. I needed collecting at 3am… again no problem at all. Communication was fantastic. He answered all of my questions and queries and explained what I did not understand. If you have reservations, don’t. This company was by far the cheapest for transfers and the customer service was fabulous. Recommend 100 times over and will use again!

Travelling to Spain is often easier than you might think.

If you're from Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, Israel, the UAE, or most American countries, you can visit visa-free for up to 90 days.

Do you need a visa? It's a good idea to contact your local Spanish embassy or consulate for guidance.

For international (non-Schengen) travellers, your passport should be valid for at least three months beyond your planned departure from the Schengen zone. And if you're from a Schengen country, while you don’t need a passport, make sure you always carry a valid ID.

Mallorca Airport and Transport

Palma de Mallorca Airport, located just 8 km from Palma city centre.
You can catch Bus number 1 from the airport every 15 minutes—it’s a 30-minute ride that drops you right in the heart of Palma at Plaça d'Espanya. Taxis are waiting outside the terminal and will get you to the city in about 20 minutes but may have long queues waiting. Best to pre-book a private transfer it much easier.

Public Transport
Getting around the island is simple thanks to an excellent public transport network. Whether you choose buses, trains, or even public bikes, you’ll find plenty of options to suit your travel plans. The bus service offers a variety of ticket options, which you can buy at the Intermodal Station on Plaça d'Espanya or at local tobacconists. For instance, Urban Bus number 3 connects the industrial area, the town centre, and Illetas beach, while buses to charming villages like Valldemossa depart from the station behind Plaza d'Espanya. Check local transport websites for the latest routes and timetables.

Electricity/Currency

Mallorca uses a standard 220 V/50 Hz electrical system. The plugs are the familiar European type with two round prongs, so you won’t need any special adapters if you’re coming from continental Europe.

The whole process was excellent.
When we arrived at the airport our driver was there holding up a card and the transfer was good.
The transfer back was also good. Reconfirming with you was straightforward. The driver was there at the agreed time and drove us back to the airport with no problems.
What also gave me confidence was that, while booking, had managed to autofill my home address into the destination box! I was anticipating a nightmare, but when I emailed you Paul got back to me within a couple of hours and it was all sorted out for me.

Excellent Service

This is the first time using Cheap Taxis and it won't be the last. From our first enquiry about the service with Paul we felt confident booking.
The driver was waiting for us as we came out of baggage reclaim, he took us to the mini bus which was clean and comfortable. On the return journey we asked to change our pick up time and this was done straight away for us, the driver was spot on time for pick up. They even followed this up when we got home checking everything went well with our pick up.
