When you start to descend or climb during your flight the landscape features surrounding the area are a sight to behold, you will see the mountain region of the Dolomites, the Venetian Lagoon and also the Adriatic. Simply stunning!
We found Venice Marco Polo Airport quite nice, it’s modern, light and airy.
It’s not a big airport but a modest size.
Points to note here are, if you need to recharge your electronic device we would advise doing it land-side before you check-in as once you pass through security control there is only one charging station in the departure lounge.
Another important note to remember; when you reach passport control and you are an adult you need to enter a scanner to scan your face but children are exempt from this procedure, only adults. For children, it is a manual check only.
The staff seem reasonable and friendly but not a lot of them speak English.
There are good retail outlets at the airport, a duty-free and some nice cafes and restaurants serving good pizzas if you like pizza.
Within Venice airport they have good mechanical walkways which help you speed along, one thing we did notice is there were not lots of announcements you had to keep checking boards for the latest information so please keep a good watch for them.
Seating around the airport seemed fair and the cleanliness was to a good standard.
Overall, a nice experience here.

The whole process was excellent.
When we arrived at the airport our driver was there holding up a card and the transfer was good.
The transfer back was also good. Reconfirming with you was straightforward. The driver was there at the agreed time and drove us back to the airport with no problems.
What also gave me confidence was that, while booking, had managed to autofill my home address into the destination box! I was anticipating a nightmare, but when I emailed you Paul got back to me within a couple of hours and it was all sorted out for me.

This is the first time using Cheap Taxis and it won't be the last. From our first enquiry about the service with Paul we felt confident booking.
The driver was waiting for us as we came out of baggage reclaim, he took us to the mini bus which was clean and comfortable. On the return journey we asked to change our pick up time and this was done straight away for us, the driver was spot on time for pick up. They even followed this up when we got home checking everything went well with our pick up.
Our Venice airport transfers can be paid by card payment or cash to the driver.
There are no extra charges for card payments. Our ground ops accept Visa, Mastercard debit or credit
We prefer full payment on arrival as this will also guarantee your return transfer back to VCE airport, it is 100% safe to do as our drivers expect no payment for the return leg of your holiday.
At Venice airport, we only offer private transfers. With a private transfer the service includes meet and greet services, our driver will assist you with your luggage and take you to your taxi.
The taxi is just reserved for you and nobody else – it is a door to door service.
Prices for a private transfer can equal the rates for a shuttle service but the transfer experience is much better.
A shuttle bus service is the opposite, you share with other people and are stopping at multiple hotels, this can add time to your transfer which is why lots of clients book private transfers, yes the may be cheaper but for many getting to their hotel quickly is their top priority.
