Travelling around Barcelona and the city.
If you use a local taxi from the airport or within Barcelona city centre itself, they are very easy to recognise. With over 11,000 taxis in the city, their yellow and black livery are easy to spot. A green light on the taxi roof indicates it is available for hire. Public transport is a good option in the city, with 1,000 public buses that are all fully adapted. It makes a good option. Try the metro, tram, and FGC. They are some of the quickest, simplest and most convenient ways of getting around Barcelona. With lots of ticket types to choose from, including travelcards mean this is a viable option; however, outside the city and further away to the beach resorts along the Costa Brava, it's best to pre book a private transfer.
